Submersible pressure pumps - Informations
Submersible pressure pumps are very powerful pumps of a specific design, meant to draw water from very deep down - depending on the type this depth may reach down to far more than 50 m.
The fluid lifted in this way can be transported further under a high pressure and thus be used e.g. for an irrigation system or for domestic purposes. In addition, these pump are perfectly suited for direct irrigation out of wells, cisterns and reservoirs.

Deep-well pumps draw water from very deep down
|
Deep-well pumps are specifically designed, extremely efficient submersible pressure pumps for narrow borehole wells of a min. diameter of 10 cm. In line with their intended use, the standard scope of delivery of these pumps includes a long connection cable and a suspension rope. Whereas the AJ Series units are mainly fit for the domestic range, the engineering features and the high performance of the units of the SCM Series will meet the highest demands in all areas of application.

Control system T.I.P.-MATIC
|
Automation of the operation of submersible pressure pumps and deep-well pumps is possible using our QUICK-MAT, Brio 2000-M or T.I.P.-MATIC control systems. With just very little effort the pumps can be used for automated water supply. This means the fluid conveyed is available as if it was taken from the water mains. And all this with a useful side effect: Some of the control systems will also protect the pumps from damage causes by dry-running since they will stop operation in the absence of water. For further information, please refer to the Automation chapter.
Installation of submersible pressure pumps and deep-well pumps

Installation
|
To suspend, position and secure these pumps from distortion inside cisterns or drilled wells and the like, please use only the suspension rope coming with the unit or other suitable stainless-steel or nylon cables. Also, make sure that the pump is at least 50 cm above ground. This will avoid swirling sand or other particles which may cause the pump to block or intensify the wearing action on the hydraulic components.
Some pumps of this type are subject to certain limits as to their max. depth of submersion in water. This max. submersion depth is indicated in the pumps' technical data.

While the pump is in operation, the suction chamber must always remain in the water, since otherwise overheating may cause damage. So when positioning the pump, please keep in mind that the water level may drop during operation owing to the changing seasons of the year, or even as a result the withdrawal process as such, or for other causes.
The standard scope of delivery of the units of the AJ and SCM series includes a check valve to prevent damage from pressure surges.
